Downtown

Spent almost the entire day with Carrie today. The three of us (my mom, Carrie, and I) had a lot of fun! Plus, she took us to a new store, told me where another library is, showed us her workplace, and kept us entertained. Afterwards(about sevenish), she came over to the apartment to play Monopoly. Let me tell you, I am so happy that we moved I’m almost euphoric. We can have guests over more often because there’s hardly anything to clean seeing as there’s only the two of us plus our dog to clean up after. There’s no roof going to collapse on our heads because only a stick is holding it up. Instead of having no counters and a leaky toilet in our bathroom, instead of having sticky wood floors or bare concrete ones. Yes, compared to all of that and much more, this is heaven. XD

Storm

I haven’t done too much today but I did drive through the storm that was raging earlier this afternoon and after deleting Chapter Seventeen of The Dragonscale, I’m back to still being at a dead-end. Not fun but I’m determined to finish the book by the end of next week one way or another. Ian’s on his way over now so that will be a ton of fun, plus I really enjoy his company. XD He’s insane, lol. Had sushi for lunch and talked to an old friend there. She’s really surprised about the whole divorce thing as well but I’m almost entirely over that fiasco. Other than that, just the usual things. I hope everyone has a great weekend as always. ;p (Insert: Ian came over to hang out! He was insane, a little more than usual, lol, and Scrabble was a load of fun!)

The Sixth Sense

Let’s see. Stayed up too late talking to a friend but thoroughly enjoyed it, waited for the bug guy to come, managed to write a teeny tiny bit, went to the library, and played host when Nancy came over for a while. I helped her with Facebook, lol, and then we all watched Transformers. She actually got into it, which was unexpected. Definitely going to sleep early tonight because I have to get up even earlier tomorrow because Brighthouse is coming over. My mom and I were watching the Sixth Sense earlier today(more like trying to) but something kept changing the channels. So, I replaced the batteries in the remote and it kept doing it. So, Brighthouse reset the DVR box but nothing worked. It was rather comical, especially seeing as it was while we were watching the Sixth Sense, lol. That made my day. Sassy isn’t doing well and the vet thinks it’s almost time. We’ll see. They said the same thing five years ago. Maybe it’s true now but I think she’s got at least another year in her.

Turned Around

Today started like any other until this afternoon/early evening. I’m not going to disclose the details yet, not until after it all happens, but I haven’t been this excited in my entire life, not even when I received my diploma! I’m still shaking with excitement and anticipation! Well, I’ve written only a little today, nothing worth too much mentioning, because I’ve been watching Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea for part of today. Gosh, I can’t get my mind off of the other thing!

After

I’m thinking about going to the beach today just because I need to get out of the house and be in the sun. I seriously doubt I’ll be able to but there’s always some wishful thinking. I’m hoping Merlene can spend some time over here today just to hang out and talk, lol. But for most of the day, I’m going to be writing and continuing to throw together those character biographies. It’s pretty interesting what my imagination can come up with, lol. It’s like it is alive and acting of its own accord. Gotta love those days. ;p Happy August, everyone! The heat wave is coming…don don don!
